THE ROLE
The Business Intelligence Manager will partner with Legends/ASM Iberia clients providing support and operations decision making, working side-by-side with leadership to drive intelligent impact.
By delivering a suite of insight and analytics services, the role will help improve efficiency, effectiveness, and resiliency of the business. Backed by a center of excellence within Legends IQ, the BI Manager will serve as a client facing subject matter expert in developing actional business insights. In addition to business operations and consulting services, the role will drive innovation and adoption of operational best practices.
We are looking for a self-starter, who is confident in their abilities, and able to work effectively while managing multiple priorities. This individual should be highly organized and able to balance strategic problem solving with thought-provoking creative thinking. The role based in Madrid will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Iberia.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Deliver business intelligence and analytics services to Legends/ASM Iberia clients:
- Develop reporting (heat maps, dashboards, presentations, status updates) standards, formats, and operational processes for partner and operator end-use.
- Support monthly business and post-event reviews to share performance updates and identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop and deploy optimal pricing, product, placement, and promotion strategies for concessions, merchandise, and premium points of distribution based on team objectives and fan feedback.
- Partner with Legends IQ to bring subject matter expertise across Attendance, Fan, and Retail transaction insights, Data Visualization, Strategic Insights, and Data Engineering to drive consistent and scalable outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to change existing product offerings or distribution.
- Analyze and build optimal solutions around variable labor and cost of sales management.
- Develop and deliver presentations to Legends/ASM clients and internal stakeholders to communicate key insights and potential action items.
- Inform innovation and operational excellence initiatives:
- Leverage available consumer insights and emerging technology tools to drive guest experience and profitability.
- Support for strategy development of new technology initiatives in cooperation with the client’s Business Intelligence team.
- Support best-in-class data governance to in-venue management team through data audit, upgrades, and management trainings.
- Fulfil ad hoc, ongoing reporting needs and analyses as needed or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or master’s degree in business analytics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
- Between 5-7 years of experience in quantitative, analytical consulting, and/or client-facing businesses, as well as experience interacting with internal organizational leadership.
- Self-starter who is eager to learn the business and drive insights.
- Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Able to maintain customer confidentiality and work well within a team environment.
- Experience communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with CRM tools and audience insights platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Experience using Excel, SQL, R, Python for data analysis and Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English is required.
