DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

With our AI-based flexOn platform, we help industrial electricity consumers to actively flexibilize their energy consumption - in other words, to use electricity when it is particularly green and cheap. Our goal: to drive forward the decarbonization of the energy system - and significantly reduce costs in the process.

Tasks

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Own and operate our existing cloud environments (AWS) ensuring reliability, cost-efficiency and security.
• Kubernetes Platform Operations: Design, deploy and maintain our Kubernetes clusters (EKS), including autoscaling, upgrades and capacity planning
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and extend automated build, test and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions) to speed up Go microservice delivery.
• Monitoring, Alerting & Incident Response: Implement and tune monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), set up alerting and metrics
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Define and maintain IaC (Terraform), plus scripting (Bash, Python, or Go) to automate routine ops tasks.
• Collaborative Development Support: Work closely with backend engineers to troubleshoot, optimize and even contribute code (in Go) when capacity allows.Machine Learning Operations: Develop and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines: data ingestion, training, versioning and automated deployment of models into production.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a DevOps/SRE or Cloud Engineering role, ideally in a startup or fast-moving environment
• Expertise with Kubernetes: provisioning, networking, security policies, Helm or Kustomize
• Hands-on knowledge with AWS and their managed services
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Proven experience writing and maintaining microservices written in go
• CI/CD mastery: building and scaling pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Monitoring & logging: setup and maintain Prometheus/GrafanaOptional: MLOps toolkit: experience with ML pipeline frameworks (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, TFX), model versioning, and automated model rollout/monitoring
