Overview

GovCIO is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Management Analyst III (Senior) to join our team in Doral, FL.

This position is pending contract award.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of an organization’s IT infrastructure and service information
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, drive process improvements, and ensure that configuration data is consistently reliable and up-to-date
  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the configuration management database (CMDB), ensuring that all IT assets, configurations, and relationships are properly documented
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures for the CMDB
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of the CMDB to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Implement and maintain automated discovery and dependency mapping tools
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize configuration management processes
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality
  • Promote the adoption of configuration management best practices across the organization
  • Collaborate with other ITSM Teams, such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management, to ensure seamless integration of configuration data
  • Provide accurate and timely configuration information to support incident resolution, problem analysis, and change implementation
  • Maintain a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software, network devices, and cloud services
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to configuration management processes and tools
  • Provide direction and mentorship to junior staff

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

Ā 

  • BA/BS in field necessary to assume Configuration Management Analyst III duties and a minimum of 9 years years of relevant Configuration Management Analyst III experience.
  • High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
  • A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
  • Five years of position-specific relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline. Strong understanding of ITIL-informed best practices, particularly in the areas of configuration management, change management, and incident management. Experience with CMDB tools and technologies (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Atrium). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Deep understanding of ITIL-informed best practices, strong technical skills, and meticulous attention to detail

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an ā€œat-will positionā€ and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
