Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a highly skilled offshore Data Operations team of 4–5 engineers.
- Manage and resolve technical tickets related to data infrastructure using Jira
- Maintain and monitor production data systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Conduct regular system checks and support day-to-day data operations.
- Take ownership of processes and ensure strict adherence to SLAs and QA standards.
- Proactively monitor data operations using AWS CloudWatch and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
- Ensure error-free operations and continuous process improvement.
- Act as the technical escalation point and participate in hands-on debugging and resolution.
- Develop and maintain documentation outlining workflows and SOPs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and business / end-customers to align goals.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in data engineering, production support, or operational roles.
- Proven experience with AWS Redshift and production-grade support in a cloud environment.
- Hands-on experience in data warehousing, SQL, and Python.
- Strong experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with handling tickets and managing workflows using Jira.
- Experience leading teams in offshore or distributed environments.
- Strong understanding of SLAs, uptime, and data quality frameworks.
- Background in establishing or improving support and QA processes is a plus.
- Ability to lead by example, manage time effectively, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
