💰RAL: €30K - €40K

💼The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Junior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in statistics and classical machine learning or a significant exposure to deep learning, combined with a genuine passion for continuous learning and problem-solving.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of well-defined components of data science projects, working with the support of senior colleagues to deliver tangible impact. Familiarity with software engineering practices is considered a strong plus.

💻Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to analyze business requirements and contribute to designing suitable ML-based solutions;
  • Develop and fine-tune models through reproducible experiments, taking ownership of your assigned features from data preparation to evaluation, with guidance from senior team members;
  • Contribute to building ML solutions by applying and learning the team's software engineering quality standards and data engineering best practices;
  • Proactively research and suggest new tools, libraries, and techniques to improve the team's workflow and model performance;
  • Effectively manage assigned tasks and project components, proactively communicating progress, challenges, and dependencies to ensure alignment;
  • Participate in monitoring and analyzing the performance of models in production.

🛠️Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience (including significant internships, thesis, or university projects) up to 2 years in a similar role;
  • Good Knowledge of programming languages including advanced Python patterns;
  • Familiarity with git-based workflows;
  • Interest in MLOps practices and a desire to learn them;
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain your work and findings to the technical team;
  • Languages: both Italian and English;
  • A collaborative spirit and a strong desire to contribute to the team's success.
