Assistant Vice President, Retail Analytics VN

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Define and drive the retail analytics strategy aligned with business goals and driven initiatives
• Lead the development of data-driven insights to support strategic decisions across retail banking products, partner channels, and customer segments.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, optimize performance, and improve profitability.

Team & Capability Building

• Build and manage a high-performing retail analytics team, including data analysts, data scientists, and BI specialists.
• Foster a culture of data literacy and innovation.
• Mentor and develop team members to ensure continuous skill growth and succession planning.

MIS Reporting, Analytics Execution & Oversight

• Perform MIS reporting for daily/weekly/monthly and CsB regulatory reporting.
• Oversee the design and implementation of analytical models, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor retail performance.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and relevance of data used in decision-making.
• Lead customer segmentation, lifecycle analysis, and product/partner performance assessments.
• Provide analytic support for new product Initiatives/ campaign/partnership offers/incentive / sales schemes
• Be able to execute and provide guidance on statistical modelling for problem solving including but not limited to customer propensity, collection optimization, forecasting, etc,.
• Proven skills in translating advanced analytics output to actionable recommendation and delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product, and operations teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Support product development, channel optimization, operation excellent/STP through actionable insights.
• Work closely with IT, data engineer and data governance teams to ensure data quality, data availability and compliance related.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and digital banking analytics.
• Champion the use of advanced analytics to personalize customer experiences and improve operational efficiency.
• Continuously evaluate and improve analytical methodologies and tools.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure all analytics and reporting activities comply with regulatory requirements, data privacy laws, and internal policies.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards for retail analytics.
• Maintain data access in line with its intended purpose and with transparent accountability.

 

Job Specification:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance /Relevant to Business Analytics/Data Science
• Experience in banking & finance analytics

Technical/Functional skills

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding of relational database and common statistical methods
• Hands on experience with programming tools and technologies such as: SQL, Python, R, SAS, Google Cloud Platform, etc,.
• Proficiency in data visualization and related tool such as Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Writing and Communication skill
