We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Business Analyst Associate to join our Controls Hub team. This role is in New York, NY – HYBRID.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Design, Build and test AI agents using our in-house AI platform and Python to automate complex control-related tasks
- Organize and preprocess structured and unstructured data from sources like Excel and SharePoint.
- Create well-structured prompts that guide AI agents to perform specific tasks accurately, consistently and in line with business requirements
- Test agents for accuracy, usefulness, and standards compliance; document outcomes and improvements.
- Deploy, maintain, and monitor agents, making enhancements based on stakeholder feedback.
- Architect multi agent solutions leveraging frameworks such as Langchain, CrewAI and Langraph
- Research, evaluate, and select appropriate large language models (LLMs) tailored to specific task requirements; design effective prompts and input formats to optimize LLM performance.
- Configure LLM parameters such as temperature, max tokens, and response length to achieve the right balance between creativity and precision.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure AI solutions are reliable, safe, and aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning for enhancing control frameworks and risk management processes.
- Apply AI techniques to analyze control data, detect anomalies, predict risks, and uncover process inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI models, detailing assumptions, limitations, and validation outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with AI and data science teams to integrate machine learning models and AI-driven solutions into control systems.
- Proactively identify ways to use AI and scripting to improve control effectiveness, reduce manual effort, and mitigate risks.
- Create and maintain test plans and user documentation for AI-enhanced control applications and automation scripts.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in a technology-driven environment with hands-on Python programming and AI application exposure.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning basics, and relevant tools or frameworks.
- Experience in scripting for automation, data analysis, or system integration within financial services or control/risk management contexts is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence adoption of AI and scripting solutions to enhance control processes.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $102,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
