Job Title: Analytics Specialist
Responsibilities
- Provide actionable business analytics based on data from multiple sources.
- Assist in the design of the architecture, execution algorithms, and integration of data platforms with existing business information infrastructures to enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Develop advanced analytics solutions for equipment health monitoring and condition-based maintenance initiatives.
- Determine relevant and compelling questions to drive significant business changes and supporting product line leaders in understanding the potential benefits of data.
- Identify additional data types needed to improve product reliability.
- Engage with various cross-functional teams to understand the product, business challenges, requirements, and objectives.
- Extract value from diverse data sets, such as time-series, transactional, and unstructured data.
- Apply mathematical, statistical, and advanced modeling methods to create solutions for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
- Identify, create, and deploy innovative analytics as part of commercial offerings.
- Perform exploratory and targeted data analysis to support business needs, collaborating with peers to brainstorm methodologies for solving business problems, and summarizing and presenting results for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide support in the development and maintenance of commercial analytics offerings.
- Participate in the development and execution of promotion plans to increase awareness of analytics capabilities, including presenting at industry events.
Skills/Requirements
- The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Engineering or a related field and 6 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation.
- 4 years of experience querying and managing databases to extract and manipulate data effectively using MySQL or PostgreSQL;
- 3 years of experience in data management using Azure or ETL to ensure data integrity and quality;
- 2 years of data analysis experience analyzing complex datasets to derive actionable insights that inform business decisions using Python and SQL;
- 2 years of experience using Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation of tasks;
- 2 years of statistical analysis experience applying statistical techniques to interpret data and drive strategic initiative using Python, including Pandas, NumPy, or SciPhy;
- 2 years of data visualization experience creating visualizations and dashboards to communicate analytical findings to stakeholders using Power BI and Tableau;
- 2 years of experience automating data extraction and operational processes to improve efficiency using Bash Scripting or Selenium
- 1 year of experience with machine learning principles and algorithms to support advanced analytics initiative using Python, including Scikit-learn.
