We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Data Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of our data solutions. If you’re passionate about data architecture and enabling scalable analytics across a global enterprise, this is your chance to make a real impact.
What you will do
As a Data Solution Architect, you will:
Define and drive the architectural vision for our data solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, privacy regulations, and evolving business objectives.
Design the future of data sharing and analytics at Brenntag by delivering scalable, governed, and high-quality Data & AI solutions that empower decision-making and innovation.
Partner cross-functionally with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to steer strategic data initiatives and ensure cohesive execution across the D&A landscape.
Champion built-in quality and proactively address non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Promote architectural excellence by embedding principles, reusable building blocks, and best practices across teams—driving consistency and alignment with our target-state architecture.
Support DevOps and continuous delivery pipelines, enabling agile, reliable, and efficient deployment of data solutions.
Evaluate architectural decisions holistically, considering their impact on people, processes, and technology—contributing to the evolution of a strong, data-driven culture.
What You Bring
We’re looking for a forward-thinking architect with a passion for data innovation:
5+ years of experience as a Data Solution Architect in international, enterprise-scale environments.
Deep knowledge of data architecture frameworks, data mesh principles, DevOps and or MLOps and analytics platforms.
Hands-on experience and strong knowledge with AWS, Databricks, DBT, Power BI , GitLab & SAP
Strong communication skills in English—able to engage both technical and business audiences.
Experience within the commercial / supply chain / finance domain.
Experience within the chemical industry is a pre.
Experience facilitating workshops and aligning diverse stakeholders.
A proactive, adaptable mindset with a drive to innovate and lead.
