We're seeking someone to join our Divisional Data Office (DDO) team as a [Data Governance Specialist in Legal and Compliance Division (LCD) to support the adoption and implementation of the LCD Data Governance Program through formal data governance practices.
This is a Analyst level position within our LCD Divisional Data Office (DDO) team which is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and data quality across the Legal and Compliance Division (LCD).

In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and
overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk.
What you'll do in the role:
- Drive the implementation of formal data governance practices by collaborating with business and technology teams and managing the book of work for prioritised data initiatives.
- Monitor and track the remediation of data-related issues across the division to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
- Maintain and update data governance policies and procedures in alignment with the evolving standards of the Governance Framework.
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of metadata in the Firmwide Data Catalog (FDC), ensuring timely updates and annual revalidation of approved data terms.
- Contribute to the setup and evolution of the LCD governance framework, including participation in the LCD Data Governance Committee (DGC) and related working groups.
- Utilize platforms such as Collibra, JIRA, and Tableau to manage workflows, track issues, and support reporting and analytics.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in a data-focused role.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to independently drive initiatives and deliver results.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks autonomously while meeting deadlines with precision.
- Experience collaborating with global, cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with metadata management concepts and tools.
- Understanding of operational risk data concepts.
- Working knowledge of business intelligence tools and their application in data analysis.
