What you’ll do:

 

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – FinOps Data Analyst

Location: Montréal, QC

Expected start date to end date: September 2nd, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

 

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytically-minded candidate with strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. As a Cloud FinOps & BI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team to collect, organize, and analyze data. You will identify optimization opportunities related to usage, rates, and cost, and assist in the creation of visualizations and weekly/monthly reports.

 

  • Data Collection and Management
    • Gather and organize relevant data from various sources.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough analysis to identify optimization opportunities for cloud usage, rates, and costs.
    • Implement analytical techniques to drive decision-making processes.
  • Reporting and Visualization:
    • Create detailed and comprehensive visualizations to effectively communicate data insights.
    • Generate weekly and monthly reports for the operations teams and stakeholders.
  • Optimization Recommendations:
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to improve cloud infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency.
    • Contribute to the development of strategies for continuous optimization.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the operations teams to understand their needs and provide data-driven support.
    • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure cohesive and effective data practices.

 

What you bring:

 

  • Education: Enrolled as a student to obtain bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Experience in data analysis, finance, or a related field. Experience with cloud cost management is an asset.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Strong understanding of financial and cost analysis principles.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
    • Detail-oriented and results-driven mindset.

In the CX Cloud FinOps & BI team, our primary responsibility is to team is to optimize cloud investments and drive business value through effective data management, analysis, and informed decision-making. By continuously monitoring and analyzing cloud usage and costs, this team identifies opportunities for cost savings, resource optimization, and financial accountability. The CX Cloud FinOps & BI team delivers actionable insights, facilitates strategic planning, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ultimately enhancing the organization's operational efficiency and competitive edge

SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 24 - 40(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
