About your role: 

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive the strategic use of data to transform business decisions? We are seeking an innovative and visionary Senior Manager (Insights and Analytics) to spearhead our Insight & Analytics function. In this role you will design and implement our Insight & Analytics strategy, ensuring that insights are not only understood through Data Storytelling, but also actionable. You’ll develop solutions that seamlessly integrate into business workflows, translating non-technical business problems into technical requirements and solutions.

You’ll be responsible for managing and develop a talented team of Data Analysts and MI Developers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Additionally, you will establish strong interlock relationships with Data Analysts distributed within the wider business departments, spreading Insight & Analytics across the organisation.

Key aspects of this role are:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Insight & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals to maximise impact and value.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Insight & Analytics team.
• Data Insights: Oversee the analysis of complex data sets to generate strategic, actionable insights.
• Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and distributed Data Analysts to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Data Storytelling: Create strategies to design Insight & Analytics solutions that effectively promote data storytelling.
• Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance analytics practices.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of analytics initiatives.

Here's what we’re looking for: 

• Experience: Proven experience in leading and developing a team of data analysts and MI Developers.
• Strategic Insights: Proven ability to deliver insights that drive business performance.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Data Storytelling: Skilled in communicating data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through easy-to-understand data storytelling.
• Statistical Methods and Programming: Proficient in statistical and mathematical methodologies. Skills in Python, Spark, PySpark, and R, are desirable.
• Data Governance: Strong understanding of Data Governance and Quality principles.
• Cloud Technologies: Strong experience with cloud-based data technologies (e.g., Azure, Notebooks).
• Growth Mindset: An eagerness to learn and develop skills and experience for yourself and your teams.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent influential communication skills, explaining complex data science models to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborating with the wider Data & Analytics leadership team.
