Microsoft 365 Copilot is transforming productivity for enterprise users by leveraging generative AI and foundational large language models. As a Customer Experience Product Manager II on the M365 Copilot Agent Platform Ecosystem team, you will drive the next wave of AI-powered productivity solutions (“Copilot Agents”) built on our extensible platform.


You will collaborate with strategic enterprise customers and partners—especially in Japan—to deliver high-impact Copilot agents, working closely with CXOs, architects, and developers to ensure product-market fit, adoption, and measurable business outcomes. This role blends scenario-focused product management with external-facing ecosystem engagement.

You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple customer engagements, focusing on partner and customer impact, developer experience, and growth strategy for the M365 Copilot platform.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with strategic customers (CxOs, architects, developers) in the Japanese enterprise market, focusing on industry-specific solutions.
  • Serve as a credible point of contact, providing consistent and relevant product guidance for the M365 Copilot platform.
  • Identify customer scenarios and engagement opportunities to drive mindshare and usage.
  • Explore customer problem spaces, lead envisioning and UX, and guide developers to build and adopt Copilot-extending solutions.
  • Drive product insights and ecosystem feedback from the market to shape the future of M365 Copilot and its extensibility stack.
  • Represent the voice of the developer and customer, influencing platform feature prioritization and new extensibility features.
  • Collaborate with global customer experience program managers to share best practices and learnings.
  • Serve as an expert on M365 Copilot platform capabilities, advising on technical solution design and platform strategy.
  • Develop and execute engagement programs to strengthen the ecosystem in partnership with sales and customer success teams.
  • Unblock adoption, deployment, and engagement of the M365 Copilot extensibility platform and Copilot Agents for strategic customers.
  • Ensure developer and customer success at every stage of the engagement funnel.
  • Gather feedback on ISV-built (third-party) Copilot Agents and Connectors to enhance value and user experience.
  • Research and evangelize solution and technology trends to drive long-term investments and product evolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in commercial SaaS external partnerships and/or customer-facing engagements.
  • Experience presenting to senior product/IT management, technical staff, and end users; able to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to operate across business, product, design, and technical domains; quick learner and adaptable.
  • Creative and critical thinker about product features and enterprise user scenarios.
  • Demonstrated strong product thinking and growth mindset.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills.
  • Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous, highly autonomous, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to hold technical discussions and go deep in technical areas as needed.
  • Proven ability to build data-driven product experiences, define metrics, and use analytics for product and growth decisions.
  • Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Microsoft technology stack (M365 Copilot extensions, Azure OpenAI, Graph Connectors, Power Platform Connectors, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese, with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience driving generative AI-based solutions (RAG, GPT, LLM) and general awareness of the rapidly-evolving AI, especially generative AI landscape.
  • Recent experience designing user interface for SaaS services.
  • Previous experience working with web and mobile technologies, cloud services architecture and operations at scale, or other highly technical areas.
