Job Description:

   

PowerBI developer who supports HPE Operations organization with analytical tools development, in-depth analysis (insights) and participates in analytics improvement projects as part of the core team or trusted advisor. Enables success measurement for the different HPE Operations teams/domains by developing scorecards, dashboards, and other data oriented automated solutions. Defines scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned components. Prepares technical documentation and development requirements tracking. Conforms to security and quality standards. Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

Contributions include applying PowerBI development subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Often also develops intelligence solutions from scratch – gathers requirements, implements and deploys. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

How you will make your mark:

• Develops and improves advanced PowerBI intelligence tools – data modeling, code development, (DAX) scripts, front/back end development, etc.

• Implements changes, owns communication, improvement and support to users for business intelligence tools and dashboards assigned (based on internal team deliverables tracker).

• Participates as a member of development team or teams and may lead a small development team within a project

• Designs, prepares, and executes tests of technical solutions (e.g., user stories, validations, etc.).

• Extracts raw data from various single source of truth databases (SDIG, SDDM, S4, RMR, etc.).

• When/If needed ad-hoc – extracts and prepares reports, scorecards, etc. in different formats e. g. MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).

• Provides analysis of trends of operational excellence KPIs by generating in-depth root cause analysis (e.g., when performance not meeting the targets).

• May lead trainings for colleagues or internal customers.                                                                                    

• Provides advanced data quality control (data accuracy validations).

About you:

• Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

• More than 3 years of PowerBI development experience

• At least basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle. Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.

• Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).

• MS (Management Studio) is an advantage

• Experience on one or more full release project life cycles

• Basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Developing general project management/team leader skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and with client
