Role Purpose
Chubb is looking for talented and hands-on data engineering professional who can partner with cross-functional local and regional teams to increase Brazil business data availability in a central space with main goal to enable automation of data reporting, business decision making and predictive analytics models.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers to design, deliver and maintain a data solution flexible enough to support growth of our internal business lines and external business partners. You will play a key role in collaborating with the local and regional team to define data strategy with existing and new partners and support the data governance structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team of talented data engineers with the ability to not only keep up with current business demand, but also pioneer, in this space.
- Collaborate with business partners and peers in the organization to understand and scope the problem, gather business requirements and facilitate the data integration process.
- Bring new perspectives of data use that helps answering previously unanswerable and new questions.
- Execute all aspects of analytics initiatives including exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, model development, model deployment.
- Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Foster internal and external collaboration with teams of varying backgrounds, from the highly technical to the highly creative, to drive success.
- Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate and approve implementation of tools and processes needed to aggressively drive data solutions and KPIs tracking for new and existing business cases.
- Lead the buildup of customer 360 to develop a holistic view on customer interaction for better customer experience and product development.
- Establish consistent, streamlined processes supporting priority use case enablement, coordinating across stakeholder groups.
- Drive the development of machine learning models to drive conversion, customer retention and customer LTV growth.
Requirements
- Intellectually curious out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about brainstorming innovative ways to use data to solve business problems
- Advanced Experience with emerging data technologies (Azure Platform, Azure Synapse, Databricks and Snowflake)
- Strong analytics skills, good business sense to connect early-stage company data to decision making
- Strong Data Modeling and Data Governance Experience Required.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, SQL, SSIS, Databricks, and Snowflake, with hands-on experience in various ETL tools and statistical software (Python, SAS, R, Stata, and related technologies.)
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Spanish at an advanced level.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, and/or data governance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent field. Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as statistics, operations research, economics, computer science preferred (graduate degree is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders and customers.
