Work You'll Do

Deloitte is seeking an FSP-cleared Software developer to join a high-performing development team supporting a national security client in Ft. Meade, MD. In this on-site role, you will leverage your expertise in Python, React, .NET, JavaScript, Java, and other relevant technologies to develop and maintain solutions meeting the client’s needs. You will collaborate closely with mission operations teams and client stakeholders, presenting solutions to audiences of varying technical backgrounds and responding to high-priority requests. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful, high-visibility projects at the forefront of national security, while fostering professional growth and innovation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for success in this dynamic environment.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and components using Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define and deliver project requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and incorporating constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures.
  • Assist in the integration of third-party APIs, libraries, and tools as needed.
  • Document technical specifications, processes, and user guides for developed solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends relevant to automation development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance w/ Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 + years of experience in Software Engineering, and application development.
  • 3 + years of experience in Advanced Python coding, and modeling.
  • 2 + years of experience working within an Agile environment following the SDLC.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Annapolis, MD. 
  • Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred: 

  • 5 + years of experience building, testing, and optimizing Python solutions.
  • Active Python certification.
  • Previous Federal Consulting and/ or professional services experience.
  • Previous experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical).
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
