RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand statistical modeling requirements expressed in a technical language and execute per a specified plan and timeline.
Build basic multivariate statistical models and make logical inferences of relevant statistical assumption.
Examine and sanitize large amounts of data efficiently.
Communicate effectively with direct manager and peers.
Produce accurate documentation with clearly formatted code.
Present and communicate facts clearly and accurately with team.
Monitor the ongoing performance of existing models in the bank's inventory.
Investigate and analyze the impact of changes to the environment, business strategies, or data on the health of models.
Execute a model, process, and strategy monitoring program, which involves computing performance statistics, interpreting results, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Develop predictive models using Python and R.
Extract data stored in relational databases including Oracle, Teradata, and Hadoop using SQL.
Derive meaningful information from large and sometimes complicated data sets.
Perform complex statistical analyses (i) to diagnose model, process, and strategy performance issues and (ii) to address questions from stakeholders.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Applied mathematics, Engineering (any), Statistics, or related: and
2 years of experience in the job offered or a related Quantitative occupation.
Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Executing a model, process, and strategy monitoring program, which involves computing performance statistics, interpreting results, and presenting findings to stakeholders;
Developing predictive models using Python and R;
Extracting data stored in relational databases including Oracle, Teradata, and Hadoop using SQL;
Deriving meaningful information from large and sometimes complicated data sets; and,
Performing complex statistical analyses (i) to diagnose model, process, and strategy performance issues and (ii) to address questions from stakeholders.
