The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $161,625 - $247,825 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking AI strategy that aligns with Dematic’s business objectives and drives competitive advantage.

  • Build and lead a high-performing AI/ML team and oversee the development and deployment of AI/ML solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

  • Act as a thought leader, influencing stakeholders and driving AI adoption across the enterprise by integrating AI-driven capabilities into scalable, customer-centric solutions.

  • Identify emerging AI trends and technologies to ensure Dematic remains at the forefront of AI innovation in logistics automation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with executive leadership and operations to ensure seamless AI integration across business functions. Champion MLOps and DevOps best practices to streamline deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI models.

  • Provide architectural oversight and technical mentorship, ensuring robust cloud-based solutions using platforms like GCP, Kubernetes, and Airflow.

  • Balance research innovation with practical implementation, translating cutting-edge AI advancements into high-impact business applications.

  • Implement scalable experimentation frameworks to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.

  • Leverage deep industry knowledge to address intralogistics and warehouse automation challenges with AI-driven insights.

  • Partner with engineering, product management, and data teams to enhance AI capabilities and ensure alignment with business goals.

What We are Looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience in AI/ML, software engineering, or related fields, with at least 3 years leading AI teams in enterprise environments.

  • Proven track record of delivering scalable AI solutions in cloud environments, particularly on GCP, utilizing tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Vertex AI.

  • Extensive expertise in Python, data engineering frameworks, and modern AI/ML development practices, with hands-on experience in data platform engineering and pipeline optimization.

  • Strong leadership in driving AI initiatives that deliver measurable business value, balancing research innovation with practical implementation.

  • Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse for simulation and digital twin solutions, and AI-based robotics development.

  • Solid knowledge of deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision technologies, with an understanding of AI safety principles and responsible AI practices.

  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to align AI initiatives with business objectives.

  • Expertise in MLOps, DevOps, and scalable cloud architectures to support production-grade AI systems.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams to align AI capabilities with broader business goals.

  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
