The Opportunity

Adobe is the market leader in software and services for the creative and marketing
ecosystem, empowering the world with products like Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud. We are at the forefront of the generative AI revolution, launching enterprise-grade products and services like Firefly and Adobe GenStudio to redefine creative and marketing workflows.
We are seeking an outstanding ML Architect to join a highly collaborative team and lead the charge in creating the next generation of GenAI-powered applications. This role is for a product-driven engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a deep empathy for customers, and is passionate about turning creative intent into creative success.

What You’ll Do

As a ML Architect, you will have end-to-end ownership of critical projects, from initial
concept to deployment. You will:

  • Architect and Design: Take full control of the technical vision by writing architecture and design specifications for innovative, high-impact Firefly Enterprise applications and features.
  • Lead and Execute: Directly contribute to the core product by leading the development of production-quality features, rich user experiences, and customer-centric prototypes. You will have control over execution, ensuring that we deliver with speed and meet a high-quality bar.
  • Drive and Deliver: Solve complex technical challenges and deliver tangible results in a team-oriented culture. You will constantly explore, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to translate ambitious ideas into interactive solutions.
  • Partner and Influence: Provide leadership by partnering closely with product management, UX design, program management, and business development to create requirements and drive projects to completion. Your ability to communicate clearly will be crucial for influencing technical decisions and collaborating across teams.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Seniority and Experience: B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent, with 12+ years of full-cycle experience developing interactive web applications and services.
  • Full-Stack Expertise: Well-established practice building and deploying web applications using modern technologies like TypeScript/JavaScript, ReactJS, state management, and bundlers.
  • Experience developing server-side web services using Java, NodeJS, or other emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Generative AI and ML Expertise: Significant project experience with NLP and LLM-based systems.
  • A deep understanding of fundamental ML concepts (tensors, loss functions) and key neural network architectures.
  • Knowledge in Transformers (including attention mechanisms), CLIP, T5, and Diffusion Models. Most importantly, passion to tinker and learn.
  • Proven ability to apply and adapt models for specific business problems, including fine-tuning techniques like LoRA and Dreambooth.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: A creative mindset with a bias for action and a passion for customer happiness. You must have the ability to drive complex projects and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with UI design systems or close collaboration with design teams.
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies like WASM, WebGPU, and canvas rendering.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and MLOps principles.
  • Experience building ML application interfaces with frameworks like Django or Gradio.
