Operational Planning Technical Support Analyst

Key Role:

Provide critical coordination, and technical support to our Marine Corps client, enabling effective operational planning, campaign execution, and informed decision-making. Integrate data and information systems, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient workflows across the Command. Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and integrate actions to support current and future operational missions, encompassing all Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) and campaigning efforts. Enhance warfighting functions through insightful information management, analysis, and recommendations to support the Commander’s decision-making process. Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate key Command battle rhythm events. Manage information within the Command-and-Control Information Environment (C2IE), including data curation, import, export, and entry. Integrate C2IE into Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells, Working Groups (B2C2WG) and operational planning processes to facilitate reporting and internal collaboration. Develop, maintain, and enforce C2IE business rules. Assist with C2IE user account management, including creation, permissions, access, training, and support. Serve as the primary subject matter expert for systems across all staff directorates. Fulfill all requirements, leveraging data analytics to inform operational planning and assessment. Assist with Operations Knowledge Management and Information Management program. Support military member travel by reviewing and coordinating official travel authorizations and vouchers as a Reviewing Official.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing programming and querying languages, including Python, R, Scala, or SQL
  • Experience developing and maintaining data applications for reporting and analytics, and creating workflows for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
  • Experience with Command and Control in the Information Environment (C2IE) and Maven Smart Systems
  • Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Experience with various dashboard enabling tools, such as Foundry or Gaia
  • Experience with DoD data analytics systems, such as Advana
  • Experience with distributed data and computing tools including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
  • Experience supporting military planning at strategic or operational levels
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a technological field

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with joint operations planning
  • Experience with Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) concepts
  • Experience at the service component or combatant command level
  • Experience with data visualization or geospatial tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or ArcGIS
  • Experience leading joint planning teams, operational planning teams, and battle rhythm events
  • Experience planning large-scale planning events with military headquarters staff elements
  • Ability to brief senior-level customers, including general and flag officers
  • Master’s degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
