Monday to Thursday in the office with Fridays off (full salary maintained) - this new 4-day work week is a 6-month trial, starting 19th May 2025.
Weāre on a mission to embed AIādriven, intelligent automation across our gamblingātech business. As the first dedicated AI Specialist, you will identify opportunities and deliver productionāready automations that free people up, reduce risk, and set strong foundations for a future IA team.

Key Responsibilities
- Find the wins ā analyse manual workflows, size the prize, and build a prioritised IA backlog.
- Design & ship ā develop, test and launch GenAIāpowered or rulesābased automations in a modern cloud environment. You pick the best tools (e.g. serverless functions, workflow engines, RPA or lowācode platforms) and own the build.
- Integrate systems ā connect SaaS, internal APIs, data stores and messaging queues; enforce secure auth and robust error handling.
- Build for production ā set up CI/CD pipelines, infrastructureāasācode and observability so automations stay reliable and auditable.
- Craft great prompts ā author, version and refine prompt templates for largeālanguageāmodel calls; experiment with prompt frameworks and retrievalāaugmented techniques.
- (Optional) fineātune ā explore training or fineātuning domaināspecific models where promptāonly approaches fall short.
- Bake in compliance ā design with UK Gambling Commission rules, ISOāÆ27001 and GDPR in mind, partnering with Compliance from day one.
- Enable others ā document runābooks, run demos, and mentor colleagues to foster an automationāfirst culture.
- Prove value ā capture qualitative feedback and simple metrics that demonstrate meaningful progress on AI adoption.

What success looks like......
- 90 days: At least one live automation reducing manual effort for a business team.
- 6 months: A reusable automation framework adopted by multiple teams; positive stakeholder feedback.
- 12 months: A clear roadmap and toolākit for a scaled IA Centre of Excellence; visible shift in culture toward automation.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Ā
- 3+ years building production software, data pipelines or process automations
- Handsāon expertise with at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS or Azure) and a scripting language such as Python or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Practical experience delivering solutions that call GenAI or machineālearning services
- Solid grounding in RESTful APIs, webhooks, auth (OAuth2, service accounts) and eventādriven design
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, Cloud Deploy, DevOps pipelines, etc.)
- Securityāfirst mindset and appreciation of regulated environments.
Nice To Haves......
- Experience in gambling, fintech or similarly regulated domains.
- Exposure to RPA / lowācode suites (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Platform, AppĀ Script, etc.).
- Processāmining, Lean Six Sigma or other continuousāimprovement tooling.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, data warehouses or businessāintelligence platforms.
