Trissential is hiring a Project Architect to join our client’s team and lead the development of enterprise-wide canonical data models that drive interoperability, analytics, and operational excellence. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable canonical data models for key business entities across IT and OT domains
  • Architect integration strategies using canonical models to connect ERP, MES, PLM, SCADA, DCS, and IoT systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data structures, semantic rules, and transformation requirements
  • Recommend and implement integration technologies (e.g., Kafka, MuleSoft, Boomi, OPC UA, MQTT)
  • Lead workshops to resolve data discrepancies and gain consensus on data definitions
  • Establish data governance practices and ensure data quality across systems
  • Provide architectural oversight and maintain documentation including data dictionaries and flow diagrams
  • Stay current with industry trends in IT/OT convergence, ISA-95, and Industry 4.0

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 10+ years in enterprise, solution, or data architecture
  • 3+ years focused on IT/OT integration
  • Proven experience designing canonical data models in complex environments
  • Deep understanding of IT systems (SAP ERP, Salesforce, MES, PLM) and OT systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs, Historians)
  • Familiarity with protocols like OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT
  • Experience with modeling tools (ER/Studio, Sparx EA, ArchiMate)
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns and platforms (Kafka, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with GE or Schneider Electric utility OT systems
  • Cloud integration experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • TOGAF or Zachman certification
  • Familiarity with data virtualization and enterprise governance tools
  • Agile experience using Jira or Azure DevOps

Education & Certifications You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Certifications in TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks are a plus
