Job Purpose

We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified candidate to manage stakeholder relationships, and automate data driven audits across the NNH Group, in accordance with The International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (the Standards).

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional working relations with all the internal and external stakeholders,
• Contribute to the development of digital assurance methodologies within the Internal Audit function, in accordance with emerging Data Science and Internal Audit standards as well as Corporate Governance practices,
• Co-perform internal audits in accordance with the digital assurance methodology, data driven approach and processes,
• Collaborate with Audit team members to integrate data science techniques into audit planning, execution and reporting,
• Perform walkthrough of the relevant key control processes, and validate the key control description with the relevant senior business stakeholders,  
• Map the key business processes, data architecture, system diagrams and interfaces,
• Identify the Key Risks and Controls that are relevant to the audit scope and objective, and
• Assess the design adequacy and operational effectiveness of key controls through data driven testing.
• Automate the continuous audit program by designing the data driven testing script across the population of business activities and transactions, and document the testing outcomes in the working paper file,
• Gather the relevant business information and reports, analyze the data integrity, and incorporate data analytics to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of audit testing outcomes,
• Cross-reference sufficient and appropriate audit evidence in the working papers file, and draft the preliminary audit issues,
• Perform internal quality assurance reviews on audit files to assess compliance with internal audit standards and methodology principles,
• Continuously monitor audit timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and update the audit status to the information systems and applications, and
• Assist in the preparation of the audit report and perform administrative / operational tasks related to the internal audit functions.
• Apply programming languages and data tools (such as SQL, SAS, Python, etc.), machine learning, robotic process automation (PowerAutomate, Blue Prism) to advance digital assurance strategy,
• Co-develop best-in-class statistical models and algorithms that can be deployed in the continuous and predictive assurance programs,
• Integrate AI/ML solutions into existing auditing systems, optimizing processes, and driving operational efficiency while adhering to auditing standards, and contribute to the use of machine learning algorithms and libraries and setting the standard for the Internal Auditing function.

•    Awareness of auditing standards / risk assessment / governance frameworks and emerging technologies

Education and Experience Requirements

• Essential Qualifications: Degree / Honours Degree / equivalent qualification in Software Development/ Data Science/ Computer Science/ Informatics/ Mathematics and Statistics
• Required Experience: 2-3 years specialized IT, Data and Automation experience is preferred, and financial services related experience will be an added advantage. Auditing experience is not compulsory.
• Knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Namibian citizenship
