DTU - Technical University of Denmark
DTU er et teknisk eliteuniversitet med international rækkevidde og standard. Vores mission er at udvikle og nyttiggøre naturvidenskab og teknisk videnskab til gavn for samfundet. If you would like to advance new knowledge about how generative AI is reshaping public sector work - and you have expertise in sociology of professions, STS, or public administration - this position offers you a unique opportunity. You will work with a team of leading researchers, contribute to high-impact studies, and engage with public institutions to inform real-world AI implementation.
Responsibilities and qualifications
The overall aim of the project is to generate new knowledge about how emerging generative AI tools – such as Copilot, speech-to-text systems and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models – are shaping professional expertise and practice across diverse Danish public sector domains, especially among frontline workers, including caseworkers, service providers and welfare professionals. We encourage a comparative approach that examines how generative AI is adopted across different professional domains, and how its effects on expertise, quality and efficiency are shaped by institutional context, job roles and available resources.
You will be employed at DTU Management and be associated with the section for Organisation Science and Technology. You will work physically from CAISA within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. You will work closely with other CAISA postdocs, fellows and chief scientists, and will be advised and supported by an interdisciplinary team of chief scientists. You are expected to contribute actively to the development of CAISA’s research environment and to engage in dissemination activities and advisory work with public authorities and companies.
You must be able to document qualifications in
- the sociology of professions, public administration, science and technology studies (STS) or related fields. Applicants are required to document:
