This is a hybrid role with on-site work required at the client’s office in Dallas, TX; Tampa, FL; or Jersey City, NJ.
Cloud Data Platform Admin (Snowflake) | About You
As a Cloud Data Platform Admin (Snowflake), you are responsible for supporting and maintaining the health and performance of a Snowflake‑based cloud data platform. You thrive in fast‑paced environments and collaborate seamlessly with application development, infrastructure and vendor teams to raise and resolve technical incidents. You maintain a deep understanding of Snowflake service offerings and champion a culture of honesty and transparency. You bring a proactive mindset to root‑cause analysis, documentation and continuous improvement—driving operational excellence across global regions.
Cloud Data Platform Admin (Snowflake) | Day-to-Day
- Provide 24×7 operational support for Snowflake‑based data platforms, participating in on‑call rotations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues via Major Incident Management (MIM) calls, escalating and engaging with the right teams.
- Raise, track and drive resolution of technical support incidents in collaboration with application development, infrastructure and vendor teams.
- Maintain and update runbooks and knowledge‑base articles to ensure all procedures and configurations are current.
- Support audit and compliance requests by delivering timely, accurate documentation, and evidence.
- Participated in planned and unplanned Disaster Recovery (DR) and regional failover events, executing recovery tasks and collecting post‑mortem data.
Cloud Data Platform Admin (Snowflake) | Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of IT experience focused on cloud data platforms, compute/storage/network architecture, and operations.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and optimization in AWS (preferred) or other cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Linux, Python, SQL and ETL/Scheduler tools; experience with Terraform (or similar IaC) and operating in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Sigma and Looker.
- Experience supporting enterprise‑level applications, monitoring/alerting tools, dashboards and escalation processes.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with a focus on knowledge sharing and operational transparency.
