Overview of the Job   We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and development of our data architecture and pipelines. You will play a key role in building scalable data systems, mentoring team members, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive business growth.   In this role, you will:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and architectures
• Collaborate closely with commercial, engineering, and data teams to define data strategies and standards
• Build and optimize data lakes and warehouses on cloud platforms
• Ensure high data quality and compliance with regulations such as PDPA
• Monitor and maintain existing data workflows and infrastructure
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
• Participate in pre-sales activities such as scoping, estimation, and technical diagramming
• Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices
• Contribute to recruitment by evaluating and interviewing candidates

You're a great fit if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, working with large-scale data systems
• Deep expertise in Python (preferred), Java, or Scala
• Strong experience with data lakes (S3, GCS) and warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse)
• Proficient in Spark and distributed data processing
• Proven ability to design and maintain complex ETL pipelines across multiple data sources
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, Step Functions, or Azure Data Factory
• Experience with CI/CD practices, Terraform/CDK, and cloud cost optimization
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of distributed query execution
• Experience working with containerized workloads (Docker)
• Leadership skills and ability to guide and mentor teammates
• Ability to scope projects, propose architectures, and evaluate tech choices
• Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English

Nice to have:

• Cloud certifications (e.g. GCP Data Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Experience with data streaming, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of customer requirement gathering and pre-sales estimation processes
• Experience implementing data privacy compliance such as PDPA
