About the Team 

We are seeking the Director of Software Test Engineering who is responsible for leading and managing the Creditsights Quality Assurance testing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and collaboration with various stakeholders to align testing processes with business goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Leveraging your expertise in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using tools such as Cucumber and SpecFlow, including proficiency in writing and automating Gherkin language scenarios, collaborating to define acceptance criteria, and applying a strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and frameworks like JUnit. Experience with CI/CD integration and test automation is also required.
  • Demonstrating expertise in AI-driven test automation, utilizing Python AI libraries (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and others) to develop and implement intelligent testing solutions.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy that supports organizational objectives.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to software testing.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, emerging tools, and advancements in testing methodologies and AI-powered automation.
  • Ensuring the adoption and maintenance of robust testing processes and standards.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and execution of test plans, automated tests, and scripts.
  • Monitoring and reporting on test coverage, defect rates, and overall quality metrics.
  • Collaborating closely with product management, development teams, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and deliverables.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on testing progress and quality-related issues.
  • Championing best practices in software testing and quality assurance throughout the organization.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of software test engineers.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Setting clear objectives and performance expectations for your team.

You May be a Good Fit if:

 Technical Skills:

  • Java:
    • Strong proficiency in Java programming for developing robust test scripts and frameworks.
  • Python / AI Libraries:
    • Hands-on experience with Python and AI libraries such as TensorFlow, NumPy, PyTorch, and Pandas for developing and testing AI/ML models.
    • Responsible for developing testing strategies for new AI technologies, such as large language models (LLMs), that the company is creating. Their aim will be to ensure these products achieve the highest standards of quality and reliability. This includes enhancing the current automation framework, which supports functional, data, and performance testing, or creating an AI automation framework to test Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) processes. These processes involve chunking, embedding, indexing, ranking, prompting, and generation-focused tests for LLMs.
  • Selenium Java/API Services Framework / Cucumber Framework:
    • Proven experience in implementing and managing Selenium Java and Cucumber frameworks for automated testing of UI/Services.
  • Node.js:
    • Competence in using Node.js for backend testing and automation.
  • .Net:
    • Familiarity with .Net technologies for testing web and desktop applications.
  • Databases:
  • Extensive hands-on experience in writing complex queries.
  • Testing Tools:
    • Expertise with various testing tools including Browserstack, BlazeMeter,  Locust (Load Testing via Python) , Postman, Git, and Atlassian.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in software testing, including at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $150,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
