What You'll Do

As an AI Data Operations Specialist at Maneva, you’ll be on the front lines of our AI systems in production, ensuring data quality, flagging anomalies, and coordinating between engineering, external annotation teams, and customer-facing operations.

This is a hands-on, operational role ideal for someone who is curious about AI, highly detail-oriented, and interested in starting their career in data, machine learning operations, or AI product support.

Location: Remote

Compensation: Entry-level pay band; salary will reflect the candidate’s experience within this range.

Note: This is an entry-level position open to applicants without a university degree. We welcome candidates from non-traditional backgrounds, including those with vocational training, self-taught skills, or experience in technical support or data workflows.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities 

• Review and validate annotated datasets daily, identifying edge cases and inconsistencies that require domain expertise to resolve correctly 

• Interface with external annotation contractors, providing feedback on data quality and updating annotation instructions to improve accuracy and consistency 

• Conduct systematic reviews of existing datasets to identify missed or inconsistent annotations, ensuring high-quality training data for AI models 

• Monitor production applications for performance anomalies, downtime, and output quality issues, escalating technical concerns to the engineering team 

• Collaborate with customer success teams to obtain production schedules and manage SKU training processes for new product variations 

• Respond to customer support requests via phone calls and online ticketing systems, providing first-line technical assistance 

• Maintain operational awareness of deployed applications, alerting for unusual prediction patterns or system behavior 

• Support alert management and follow-up on Grafana notifications, ensuring proper documentation and cleanup of operational tickets 

• Document data quality issues, system performance observations, and process improvements for internal knowledge sharing 

• Assist with data curation workflows and maintain organized datasets for ongoing model training and validation 

What We're Looking For 

Must-Haves 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets 

• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with external contractors and internal stakeholders 

• Proficiency with computer usage and general technical troubleshooting abilities 

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent data review tasks 

• Customer service orientation with experience handling support requests 

Nice-to-Haves 

• Experience with SQL and basic programming skills (Python preferred) 

• Experience in computer vision, machine learning data annotation 

• Familiarity with data annotation tools and processes 

• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Grafana, JIRA, or similar) 

• Experience working with external vendors or contractors 

• Background in technical support or customer success roles 

• Understanding of AI/ML model training and validation processes
