McKesson is seeking a visionary and results-driven Cybersecurity Director of AI/ML & Data Products to lead a high-performing team focused on transforming cybersecurity through data-driven innovation. This role will be responsible for the strategy, development, and delivery of advanced analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and data products that enable proactive, intelligent, and scalable cybersecurity across the enterprise.
As a key leader within the Strategy, Architecture and AI/ML & Data team, you will drive the ingestion, normalization, and visualization of data from a wide array of cybersecurity technologies, enabling actionable insights and automation that enhance McKesson’s security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for AI/ML and data product initiatives within Cybersecurity.
Collaborate with senior cybersecurity, IT, and business leaders to align data-driven initiatives with enterprise risk and security goals.
Data & AI/ML Innovation
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models for threat detection, anomaly detection, risk scoring, and predictive analytics.
Drive the creation of scalable data pipelines and platforms for ingesting, enriching, and analyzing cybersecurity telemetry.
Champion the use of modern data visualization tools and techniques to deliver intuitive, actionable dashboards and reports.
Product Ownership
Own the lifecycle of cybersecurity data products—from ideation and design to delivery and continuous improvement.
Ensure data products meet the needs of diverse stakeholders, including SOC analysts, threat hunters, risk managers, and executives.
Collaboration & Governance
Partner with enterprise data teams to ensure alignment with data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
Critical Experience/Skills:
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data analytics, or AI/ML, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience leading teams responsible for:
Cybersecurity data ingestion and normalization
Development of AI/ML models for security use cases
Building and managing data products and platforms
Data visualization and storytelling
Deep understanding of cybersecurity domains (e.g., threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management).
Strong knowledge of modern data and ML technologies (e.g., Spark, Python, TensorFlow, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI/Tableau).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, finance).
Familiarity with cloud-native security and data architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
