Our Curtiss-Wright Round Rock site is looking for a skilled Power BI Designer / Report Writer with strong SQL experience to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Power BI. A deep understanding of SQL, data modeling, and business data is essential.

Your Challenge:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.

• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.

• Develop complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.

• Create data models and DAX measures/functions to support business reporting needs.

• Optimize Power BI data sets and reports for performance and usability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and data engineers to ensure accurate and relevant reporting.

• Maintain documentation of report logic, data sources, and visualizations.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting solutions.

• Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in Power BI report development and dashboard design.

• Strong SQL skills and experience writing complex queries (e.g., joins, CTEs, window functions).

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).

• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling techniques.

• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics).

• Experience working with Infor Syteline a plus.

• Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, SSRS) is a plus.

• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing) may be advantageous.
