Job Description:
- Own and drive large-scale data engineering programs end-to-end, from requirements to delivery.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including client technology and business teams, to define program goals and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Architect scalable, robust, and secure data solutions leveraging modern data platforms (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).Lead cross-functional teams comprising data engineers, architects, analysts, and project managers.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data architecture, ETL/ELT development, data quality, and data governance.
- Oversee budgeting, resource planning, delivery timelines, and program KPIs.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; provide timely resolutions
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation, automation, and adoption of modern tech stacks.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
Must Have:
- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 3–5 years in program or delivery leadership roles.
- Certified expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools, data pipelines, and data warehousing (e.g., Apache Airflow, DBT, Informatica, Talend).
- Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Deep understanding of data architecture patterns, including batch and streaming pipelines.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar programs with global delivery teams.
- Strong program/project management skills – Agile, Scrum, or PMP certification is a plus.
- Exceptional client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in analytics platforms or tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Experience in managing offshore/onshore teams
- Prior consulting experience with Fortune 500 clients.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices in the data environment
Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a related field12+ years of hands-on experience
