Role OverviewAre you a seasoned, detail-oriented technical specialist eager to lead and drive integrations between Revinate and the diverse applications used by our valued customers? We're looking for a skilled and experienced professional to join our Data Integrations team. This team plays a crucial role in managing the configuration and maintenance of integrations with our data partners and customers, monitoring data ingestion, and ensuring the quality control of reservation and guest data from thousands of hotels worldwide.
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the ingestion side of our data integration pipelines, ensuring the seamless flow of information between Revinate, our partners and customers. You will develop easy to use data integration tools for use by Revinate’s customer success team. You will work closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient and reliable data solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data integration solutions using various ETL/ELT tools and techniques.
  • Extract data from diverse sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud platforms, SFTP etc.) and transform it into a format suitable for the Revinate CDP platform.
  • Help load integrated data into Revinate’s Customer Data Platform (CDP), data warehouses, data lakes, and other target systems.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects for data manipulation and extraction.
  • Build easy to use transformation capabilities for use by Customer success teamImplement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of integrated data.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integration jobs, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with data architects to define data models, schemas, and data governance standards.
  • Document data integration processes, data flows, and technical specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data integration technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our data engineering processes.
  • Develop and update internal documentation on data integrations, customer projects, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on integration and support objectives.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3-5 years of total Software engineering experience, with 3+ years in ETL/ELT development or data engineering.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries Proficiency with any relational Database e.g. MySQL, Postgres.
  • Experience in building ETl/ELT pipelines with open source frameworks like Spark or any ETL tool.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Scala.
  • Experience working in cloud platforms and their data services (e.g., AWS S3, Lambda, EC2).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working understanding of REST APIs and data formats like JSON, XML.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Understanding of cloud native data integration with major Lakehouses (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in building REST API using Springboot or any other framework.
