Responsibilities
- Support the ingestion, organization, and cataloging of audiovisual material in the studio systems (SAN/NAS), ensuring efficient workflows without bottlenecks.
- Verify that deliverables meet the required technical specifications (codecs, resolutions, frame rates, platform standards).
- Collaborate in version control and project restoration, working with technical teams to ensure integrity and traceability.
- Participate in archiving and backup processes, proactively tracking new ingests.
- Assist in cleaning redundant data to optimize available storage.
- Document workflows and naming conventions, identifying and correcting errors before they escalate in production.
- Perform transcodings when necessary to improve storage efficiency and compatibility with post-production software.
- Assist in scheduling and assigning editing, mixing, and color grading rooms, as well as managing licenses, plugins, and technical equipment.
- Enter and analyze data in booking software, identifying resource bottlenecks and collaborating with Postproduction Managers to suggest improvements.
- Support the preparation of reports on room and technical resource usage for operational decision-making.
Requirements
- Student or recent graduate in Audiovisual Communication, Computer Engineering, IT Systems, Image and Sound, Documentation, or audiovisual production/post-production programs.
- Basic knowledge of the audiovisual environment and its materials (raw footage, telecine, scripts), as well as formats, codecs, resolutions, and standards.
- Basic familiarity with post-production software such as Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Flame, Nuke, or media management tools (MAM/DAM).
- Proficient in English (C1 or higher), with the ability to communicate on technical aspects with senior international profiles.
- Advanced user-level knowledge of operating systems (macOS/Windows).
- Basic understanding of storage and network concepts (NAS, SAN, RAID, Ethernet).
- Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Sheets, Word, Docs).
Valued
- Previous experience (even academic or personal) with editing and post-production software.
- Interest or basic knowledge of booking tools (Farmerswife, Xytech, Schedule.it) or post-production project management tools (Frame.io, Pftrack).
- Interest in master file technical reviews and quality check processes.
- Knowledge of basic hardware (components, connections, peripherals).
- Initiative to improve processes, prevent errors, and optimize resources.
