About the role

We are seeking an innovative Finance Systems Product Lead to lead the transformation of Anthropic's finance systems and processes through cutting-edge AI technology. In this role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of Claude-powered solutions to revolutionize our finance processes, from Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) to comprehensive finance systems and processes. You'll drive operational efficiency, streamline our financial close processes, and create delightful user experiences for our finance teams.

As a key member of our Finance and Product organizations, you will work at the intersection of finance domain expertise and AI innovation, partnering closely with functional leaders, engineers, and data scientists to build the future of finance systems and processes at Anthropic.

Responsibilities:

• AI-Powered Finance Innovation: Lead the development and deployment of Claude-based solutions to automate and enhance finance processes, including financial close, reconciliations, expense management, and reporting workflows
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for finance technology initiatives, balancing innovation with operational excellence and regulatory compliance
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Finance leadership, Engineering teams, and Data Science to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive successful implementation of AI-powered finance solutions
• Process Optimization: Analyze existing finance workflows to identify inefficiencies and design Claude-powered solutions that streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy
• User Experience Design: Be the voice of the customer and act as the bridge between customer objectives and our technical capabilities. Champion user-centered design principles to create intuitive, efficient interfaces and experiences for finance professionals using AI-powered tools
• Data & Analytics Integration: Collaborate with data teams to ensure seamless integration of financial data, enabling AI models to provide accurate insights and automation capabilities
• Change Management: Drive adoption of new AI-powered finance tools through effective training, communication, and support programs
• Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure the impact of AI implementations on finance operations, user satisfaction, and business outcomes
• Stakeholder Communication: Present progress, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, clearly articulating the business value of AI investments in finance

You may be a good fit if you:

• Have 8+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on finance technology, enterprise software, or data products
• Possess deep finance domain knowledge across OTC, P2P, financial close, and finance operations processes
• Have hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, particularly large language models, and understand their practical applications in business contexts
• Demonstrate technical proficiency with SQL, Python, and data analysis tools, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams
• Have successfully led cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Engineering, and Data Science teams
• Show proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value and user benefits
• Are experienced in agile product development methodologies and stakeholder management
• Have a track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvements through technology
• Excel at building relationships across functions and influencing without direct authority
• Bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Are passionate about the potential of AI to transform business systems and processes

Strong candidates may have:

• Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
• Knowledge of financial compliance requirements and audit processes
• Background in implementing financial data lakes, ETL pipelines, or business intelligence solutions
• Previous experience developing AI-powered business applications or working with LLM APIs
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
• Understanding of modern cloud infrastructure and API integrations
• Previous experience at a high-growth technology company
• Familiarity with finance automation tools and emerging fintech solutions

Representative projects:

• Design and implement Claude-powered automated reconciliation systems to reduce manual work in financial close processes
• Develop AI-assisted expense categorization and approval workflows to streamline P2P operations
• Create intelligent financial reporting assistants that can generate insights and answer complex finance queries
• Build predictive analytics capabilities for cash flow forecasting and budget variance analysis
• Design conversational AI interfaces for finance team members to interact with financial data and systems
• Implement automated anomaly detection in financial transactions and reporting

The expected salary range for this position is:

Annual Salary:$230,000—$300,000 USD

Logistics

Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
