Work Environment:
You will join the Alstom Technology Center in Villeurbanne (France), which is Alstom's specialized center for developing generic electronic and software products used in all Alstom railway applications: embedded electronic products, telecommunications solutions, and "ground" software solutions hosted locally or in the cloud.
You will be attached to the "Computing Systems" division to be the Data Architect for our railway solutions. As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in defining and implementing data governance rules within our organization. You will be responsible for capturing, defining, and applying data management rules to ensure the quality, consistency, security, and regulatory compliance of data for the programs within our "Computing Systems" entity.
Responsibilities:
Define and Apply Data Governance Rules:
- Capture internal data governance rules.
- Define data management rules, particularly in terms of data definition and uniqueness, in our use cases and railway solutions.
- Implement data governance across various programs related to Computing Systems.
Develop Technical Architectures:
- Design technical architectures to meet the functional and technical needs of the programs.
- Ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with the digital objectives of the program group and the organization.
Documentation and Communication:
- Document architectures and technical decisions.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Technology Evaluation and Recommendation:
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools for the programs.
- Conduct technology watch on Data topics to stay updated with the latest innovations.
Architecture Design Evaluation:
- Support user programs in applying data management principles.
- Evaluate architecture designs (Design Authority) to ensure their compliance with standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, with a strong contribution to data governance principles.
- In-depth understanding of Embedded Technology, Operational Technology, Information Technology environments, and their interactions in an industrial context.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Azure environment and the MS Fabric solution.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
