Location Details: India, Remote

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

The GoDaddy Payments Risk and Growth strategy team is an integral part to GoDaddy’s mission of providing outstanding commerce and payments capabilities to our 20 million and growing everyday entrepreneurs. As a data scientist on the Strategy team, you will help enable safer payments for our users and protect GoDaddy from fraud. You will also uncover opportunities to expand GoDaddy Payments, and face complex challenges at GoDaddy, using data to guide team for scalability.

What you'll get to do...

• Develop machine learning based Risk Models, and new complex features with an aim to make GoDaddy Payments one of the most secure and merchant friendly payment facilitator
• Build data pipelines to prepare data for rapid learning in a scalable manner
• Design and build machine learning and data infrastructure by partnering with data and production engineering teams
• Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to come up with actionable strategies, connect with stakeholders, and recommend actions
• Support data science needs for both go-to-market strategy, and Risk Operations

Your experience should include...

• 2+ years of experience leveraging machine learning techniques such as Gradient Boosting, Logistic Regression, and Decision Trees, among others
• 2+ years of coding experience using machine learning toolset within Python, SQL, Spark
• 2+ years of hands-on experiences with data extraction, cleaning, analysis and visualization

You might also have...

• MBA or Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics or other quantitative discipline
• Experience with non-structural data
• Experience in credit card payments industry
