Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Framework: Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive data governance framework that includes policies, procedures, and standards for effective data management across the organization
  • Master Data Management (MDM): Design and oversee master data management strategies to ensure that critical data entities are consistently defined, managed, and maintained across the organization.
  • Project Integration: Collaborate with project teams to integrate data governance and master data management best practices into project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Data Quality Oversight: Lead initiatives to enhance data quality, accuracy, and consistency, including defining data quality metrics, monitoring performance, and addressing data quality issues.
  • Data Stewardship: Identify and appoint data stewards for key data domains, defining roles and responsibilities for managing and overseeing master data.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that data governance and master data management practices align with relevant regulations and industry standards, and stay updated on emerging compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs, promote data governance principles, and facilitate effective data management practices.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs on data governance and master data management concepts, policies, and best practices to foster a culture of data stewardship.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of data governance and master data management initiatives, assess performance, and recommend improvements to enhance data management practices. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Years of experience in data management with a strong focus on data governance and master data management in an enterprise environment
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and master data management strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving data quality and managing data stewardship programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to data management.
