Deloitte is seeking a Technical / Data Lead for our Unemployment Insurance (UI) practice with the GPS – HST, Labor and Workforce Practice. This position will work on the implementation of Deloitte’s UI software solution for various States. This role straddles data conversion and technical triage responsibilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategize on the conversion of legacy production UI data into Deloitte’s modern UI solution and develop data conversion methodology and processes
- Work with technical and business clients to map data from legacy UI solution to Deloitte’s UI solution data model. Collaboratively define data requirements and transformation rules to effect conversion
- Manage SQL developers in development of transformation rules and development of functional and technical validation routines for conversion
- Coordinate with clients on legacy data extracts and perform multiple mock conversions, gather timings, and perform data conversion validations. Load converted data into development and test environments
- Define strategy, requirements, and development of any data obfuscation required by client
- Direct development team in resolution of any conversion related defects reported by development and testing teams
- Lead technical triage of all user reported applications issues during internal and client testing phases. Determine appropriate technical team (development, infrastructure, data, architecture) to assign issues to.
- Manage technical reporting and status on large volume of testing issues, including dashboards, burn down plans, root cause analysis of issues
- Coordinate closely with development, testing, infrastructure, business, data, and architecture teams to resolve system issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be able to get client clearance to work with production data that includes PII.
- A minimum of 5 years technical experience in data, data modeling, conversion, ETL development and management of data resources
- Must be proficient in SQL development and have experience using ETL tools
- Strategic thinker, creative problem-solver, and decision-maker; ability to find innovative, thoughtful solutions to a range of business problems
- Must have strong communication skills and demonstrate ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical client resources
- Must have strong analytical skills to triage technical application issues to determine root cause and collaborate with other technical teams for resolution
- Ability to manage junior resource and direct daily workload
- Effective written communication skills, able to span interactions with all levels of professionals within the organization and with client.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience with Unemployment Insurance system and business concept is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel 0 - 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
