Mid BI Engineer

The Team and you:

Factorial's mission is to empower businesses to make better decisions, and data is a key component of that mission. BI Engineers are responsible for unlocking data and insights for all Factorial teams. You will work closely with Analytics Engineers in managing data sets, internal and external databases, and processes in AWS Platform.

The Role 📜

BI Engineers are the owners of PowerBI. You will support business leaders and teams on data analysis, ad-hoc queries, and dashboards. In this role, you would be responsible for working with multi-disciplinary teams – Researchers, Designers, Product Owners, Developers, and Pricing Managers – to blend different statistical and data analytics techniques to generate a holistic understanding of the users and markets.

What you will do:

• Analyze performance and identify behavior in different data sets
• Data mining and automated reports/dashboards
• Translate complex and potentially ambiguous information into clear structure and actionable deliverables. Perform analysis on large data sets using appropriate data analysis techniques and tools with a strong focus on quality
• Build and maintain dashboards and/or reports to share performance information with senior management and C-level stakeholders
• Identify and analyze relevant customer data to drive business goals and validate hypotheses & designs; turn data into actionable insights
• Lead data-driven initiatives to improve company decision making and business knowledge.
  

Your background:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with Power BI
• Minimum 2 year of experience as an analyst in a digital and eCommerce environment
• Data-driven with a strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Strong knowledge of tools and programming languages such as BigQuery/SQL and experience with GitHub.
• Self-starter with good time management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize quickly the most relevant ones
• Ability to multitask, desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Team player with a positive attitude
  

Nice to have:

• Experience as a team lead and people management
  

For this mid-level position, the annual gross salary starts at 42,800€. This includes a base salary of 40,000€ and a variable pay of up to 2,800€ annually, depending on the company's goals. We top it with an Employee Stock Options Plan.
