Position Overview

If so, Freddie Mac’s Market Insights Team wants to hear from you. We’re looking for a Data/Research Analytics Associate I/II with strong analytical skills and a passion data. This role blends data science with strategic storytelling, leveraging research, analytics, and visualization to inform business decisions across Freddie Mac’s mission-driven work. You’ll support cross-functional teams by identifying opportunities and helping us understand how the market is evolving and why it matters.

Your Impact:

In this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of data, strategy, and communication to:

  • Provide insights support on housing-related topics by analyzing datasets, summarizing existing research, and reviewing relevant legislation and regulations

  • Analyze complex data sets and results to understand/diagnose potential quality issues and anomalies

  • Publish and disseminate comprehensive dashboards to stakeholders via Google Data Studio that help tell a story with the data and highlight insights and observations

  • Develop clear, engaging visualizations and executive summaries to communicate insights to stakeholders

  • Present findings using charts, graphs, and visual storytelling to support decision-making across the business

  • Collaborate with a transparent, learning-oriented team that values accountability and builds strong partnerships

Qualifications:

  • Background in Statistics, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience with analytical and/or data manipulation tools such as SQL, SAS, or R

  • Experience with Google/Looker Studio and GA4

  • Proven ability to analyze and manage large datasets with strong attention to detail and self-review

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience producing executive-ready deliverables

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment,

  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative setting and brings both analytical rigor and strategic thinking

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $68,000 - $102,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
