JOB TITLE: Data Product Owner – Credit Card

SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £59,850 - £66,500

LOCATION: Manchester or Chester

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

The Data team within the Card Platform is a growing team, tasked with unleashing the power of Cards data to support the Acquisition and Engagement targets for the Bank. The Data PO is an exciting role where you’ll operate across the Cards Platform, working with Cards Data Engineering teams to deliver change, solve complex problems and unleash the power of LBG’s data.

The purpose of the Product Owner is the overall ownership for a single product which contains 1-2 features, journeys or technology components. They are typically a Team Lead (containing 1-2 Feature or Component Teams), reporting into the Lab Lead. This role will be focused on planning and driving the Card business' data strategy as the Platform looks to optimise it's business through GCP adoption.

What will I be doing?

  • You’ll partner with key members of the Credit Card teams (business, CJMs and Integrators) and elsewhere to translate business and analytical requirements for Engineers to build data solutions

  • Work within established data management systems and procedures

  • Provides inputs into the Data Roadmap and Product vision

  • Prioritising and managing a team’s backlog

  • Respond to individual and team goals, investing in personal performance by improving your own skills and capabilities.

  • Accountable for Product change governance (e.g., CMIA / SPFIA) and Business Readiness activities (e.g., training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) for their respective features, journeys or technology components. Note: PO’s are accountable but activities to be delivered by the whole ‘team’.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies and tooling (JIRA/Confluence)

  • Experience in Data Delivery, preferably within GCP cloud environments

  • Experience of turning broad and ambiguous ideas into structured, tangible slices of customer value through data solutions

  • Passionate about our existing and potential customers and what they need, gathering and analysing data about customers, competitors and potential opportunities

  • Energy and influence without authority to push what’s possible, with a focus on collaboration

  • Experience of working in Financial Services and with Credit Card Platforms would be beneficial
