Sia Title: Project Specialist (Non-exempt Contractor)
External Title: Web Data Analyst
Level: Mid-Senior
Project Length: This is a temporary position with an expected end-date of 12/31/25
Project Hours: 12-16 hours per week
Location: Remote
The expected compensation for this contract is $80 to $92 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to skills, experience, and location.
Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Web Data Analyst (Contract) to support cross-functional teams in defining, testing, and reporting on key website performance metrics. This part-time role (12–16 hours per week) is ideal for an experienced analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable driving clarity through data across multiple web initiatives.
You’ll help shape measurement strategies, support experimentation efforts, and ensure accurate, actionable reporting across a range of web properties — all while contributing to the development of unified and scalable data practices.
Key Responsibilities
Metric Definition and Strategy
Collaborate with teams to define relevant performance metrics based on site goals, audiences, and business needs.
Guide tagging implementation, dashboard setup, and metric tracking.
Assist in establishing annual goals and refining measurement frameworks.
Translate broad business questions into specific, measurable analytics strategies.
Experimentation and Testing
Support teams in designing and executing tests and surveys.
Define test setups, including success metrics, ramp strategies, guardrails, power analyses, and statistical significance thresholds.
Monitor for potential experiment collisions and ensure clean test execution.
Develop standardized processes, tools, and documentation for testing.
Maintain a central database of experiment and survey results; help manage and prioritize a testing backlog.
Assist in evaluating and implementing testing tools or platforms, if needed.
Reporting and Analysis
Help establish and maintain a regular cadence of performance reporting (monthly, quarterly, etc.).
Ensure data integrity and validate reporting accuracy across teams.
Produce custom reports and deep-dive analyses for more complex or nuanced data requests.
Identify trends across web properties and surface key insights to inform strategy.
Qualifications
Strong experience in digital or web analytics.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
Solid grasp of statistical testing concepts and experimentation design.
Ability to communicate complex data clearly and effectively.
Experience creating dashboards and reports using analytics tools.
Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
Experience using experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize, or Meta’s internal tools).
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a part-time, asynchronous environment.
Experience developing or standardizing measurement and testing processes.
