Job Description
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Merchandising Business Unit at Zooplus. In this role, you will generate insights that guide high-impact decisions on an international scale. Your responsibilities will include extracting key data, performing predictive analytics, and translating findings into actionable, goal-oriented business strategies.
You will take on a variety of exciting challenges and projects that align with your interests and strengths, while working closely with stakeholders across Product Management, Marketing, Local Markets, Management, and IT. Strong communication skills - especially the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical colleagues - will be a valuable asset.
Your job responsibilities as a Data Analyst include:
Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate challenging retail business problems into dashboards to visualize insights as a guidance for decision making
Perform exploratory analysis including hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis and inference, including ad-hoc analysis on specific topics
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure our analysis are having a real impact and advise business on interpretation and possible actions.
Work closely with the team’s Data Scientists to create predictive and prescriptive models
Discover and make new data sources accessible, from data discovery to data pipelining and QA
Create and develop analytical processes to advance the company’s level of insight
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics, or comparable experience
Advanced experience with Tableau and/or Power BI
Advanced knowledge of SQL
Over three years of experience in finding, cleaning, and manipulating data to build large data sets that do not fit in memory
Experience using Python or a similar scripting language, especially with data-related libraries such as pandas, PySpark, NumPy, Polars, and others
Initial experience with, or strong interest in, developing data science models
A strong team player, comfortable working in a startup-like environment
Very good command of English, both spoken and written
