Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 233 S. Wacker Drive, Suite 3700, Chicago, IL 60606

HOURS:     Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The AI Machine Learning Specialist  is responsible for the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms and techniques to solve business problems and optimize member experiences [30% of time spent].

How you will make an impact:

• Work with datasets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data.

• Develop proprietary machine learning algorithms to build customized solutions that go beyond standard industry tools and lead to innovative solutions.

• Complete piping and processing of massive data-streams in distributed computing environments such as Hadoop to facilitate analysis.

• Develop experimental and analytic plans for machine learning algorithms and data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, and ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations.

• Responsible for Artificial Intelligence (AI) scientific and statistical methods to assist with product creation, development and improvement.

• Accurately determine cause and effect relations.

Minimum Requirements:   

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related.

• Four (4) years of experience in related occupation(s).

• Four (4) years of experience in related occupation(s) must include:

• Four (4) years of experience working in data science, machine learning, and/or information technology.

Additional Requirements:

• One (1) year of experience with Python to create machine learning and statistical models to assist with solution creation, development, and improvement.

• One (1) year of experience in machine learning algorithms to build customized solutions.

• One (1) year of experience working with SQL and data-sets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data.

• One (1) year of experience with big data environments and distributed computing environments.

Alternate Education/Experience Requirements:

• Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related, and two (2) years of experience in related occupation(s).

• Must have skills listed above.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $147,607 - $148,607
