In the Social Initiative we foster awesome player-to-player experiences and eliminate the impact of disruptive behavior in our communities. As a Test Engineer you will work with developers on your team to ensure outcomes reach quality goals. Guided by Riot’s Test Policies and the product’s test strategy, you will ensure the execution of quality activities at every stage of the software development lifecycle. You will work with QA Engineers to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems, while improving delivery and the overall quality of the product. This role will span multiple teams allowing you to drive the testing strategy for a major pillar of Riot’s game services. You will report to an Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, operate and own area test plan.
- Manage and evaluate testing efficiency and effectiveness within your area.
- Establish test strategies and processes to apply to your area’s operations, often driving them through other QA team members
- Improve on methods of test execution at the area level.
- Collaborate with different disciplines in order to understand their goals and incorporate them into decisions that improve quality.
- Guide and monitor all testing done for the area.
- Work the QA members of your team to ensure risks are identified, analyzed, and addressed
- Analyze and report on the product’s quality status to the area’s leadership team.
- Hold the team accountable to meeting quality standards
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional embedded Quality Assurance experience
- Experience designing and executing test plans
- Experience managing components of a defect database
- Experience working on a product development team
- Experience creating custom reports on test coverage, defect data, and risk
- Experience using creative problem solving to improve processes
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with machine learning, training and inference
- Knowledge of unit testing for machine learning pipelines
- Familiarity with model evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, ROC-AUC, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries such as: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost
