The Opportunity

Were hiring a Head of Engineering for the USa strategic, hands-on leader with deep technical expertise, consulting experience, and a strong commercial mindset. This role combines architecture, team leadership, and client partnership. Youll guide technical direction, contribute to presales and delivery, and help build a high-performing engineering culture as we grow.

Please Note: Candidates must be willing to travel to our Dallas-Fort Worth office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

AI Leadership

• Contribute to Provokes AI vision and service offerings, including Gen AI and Agentic AI
• Support clients in identifying, designing, and delivering impactful AI solutions
• Lead internal R&D and guide the technical direction

Team Leadership

• Lead and grow our US engineering team, ensuring strong technical delivery and a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Define and uphold engineering standards, architecture patterns, and practices, integrating GenAI across the full software lifecycle
• Mentor engineering consultants across projects through regular feedback, goal setting, and performance reviews.

Project Technical Leadership (Hands-on ~50%)

• Lead solution design and architecture while staying hands-on with prototyping and development
• Architect scalable, cloud-native, GenAI-enabled applications using .NET, C#, Python, Azure, and related technologies.

Pre-Sales

• Support presales efforts by leading technical discovery and shaping solutions
• Define architecture and team structure for proposals
• Engage clients with a consultative approach that challenges assumptions

Commercial & Delivery Oversight

• Balance engineering quality with business realities, understanding trade-offs in time & materials vs. fixed-price contracts.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers to mitigate risk, manage scope, and maintain profitability.

What You Bring

Consulting and Leadership DNA

• MUST HAVE experience in consulting or professional services
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams
• Strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort with ambiguity

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core), Python, and Azure
• Track record delivering cloud and GenAI solutions at scale
• Familiarity with architecture patterns, CI/CD, DevOps, and security best practices

GenAI Fluency

• Demonstrated use of GenAI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain).
• Ability to evaluate GenAI applications and integrate them into client solutions.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Power Platform, Fabric, or broader Microsoft ecosystem tools.
• Background in startups or growth-stage companies.
