Position & team overview:

• Position: Data Science Internship
• Duration: 10 Weeks
• Start: May 20, 2024
• Location: 114 W 41st St 5th Floor, New York, NY 10018 (United States)
• The Science team develops algorithms and technologies using the mathematical framework to address business challenges analytically. The algorithms and technologies then feed into Analytic Partners’ analytical engines! The Science Team is an integral part of R&D Group who is the core of Analytic Partners software as a service platform. The team is comprised of motivated individuals that do exceptional work. They face challenges together and they win together. As a Data Scientist Intern, you’ll collaborate with a fun and agile team to research, architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our company and clients! You also have opportunities to work with clients to develop customized models and solutions to address their business challenges.

Participants will:

• Creatively apply science methodology and techniques solving real-world problems to generate business impact.
• Conduct Data Science methodology research and derive novel analytical solutions to expand company solution capabilities and options.
• Work closely with cross function business teams on client engagement and implementation Discover and address users’ pain points to enhance AP analytics platform. 

You will own & collaborate on:

• Conduct data analysis using various tools and techniques.
• Assist in documenting model specifications and implementation details.
• Assist team members in developing and implementing statistical, ML and AI solutions, models, and algorithms.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.

Qualifications & experience you will need:

• Minimum:
• At least 75% completion of bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, statistics, engineering, physics, mathematics, etc.)
• Solid technical skills in probability & statistics, machine learning and optimization algorithms.
 
• Preferred:
• Proficient in Python and SQL. Linux and R skill set are a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, great work ethic, sense of ownership and intellectual curiosity, desire, and ability to collaborate in a team environment.


• Eligibility:
• Students graduating between 2023 – 2026.
