HybridâPurpose of the RoleAs Operations Delegated Data Lead, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of receiving, processing, and validating delegated Risk, Premium, and Claims delegated data. A key aspect of the role involves working closely with an outsourced partner to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, agreed service levels and data quality standards. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality, reliable delegated data and ensure exceptional service to internal stakeholders.

You will work closely with data owners, stakeholders, and internal teams to embed best practices and lead delegated data quality initiatives, enabling accurate, timely, and meaningful insights for informed decision-making across the organisation.ââ
Duties and Accountabilities
- Direct a team of external third-party delegated data specialists to ensure accurate, complete, and timely delegated data delivery in line with contractual agreements, escalating issues as required
- Oversee the entire delegated data lifecycle, including retrieval, ingestion, validation, queries and reconciliation of risk, premium, and claims data including ownership and maintenance of the AEGISâ Delegated Data Procedure Manual
- Ensure received delegated data aligns with contractual binder terms, Lloydâs Cover holder Reporting Standards, and AEGISâ reporting requirements
- Maintain and enhance delegated data tracking logs and dashboards, collaborating with the Data Science and Analytics team to ensure all business report requirements are fit for purpose and accurate. Produce MI reports for use in internal and external meetings
- Work collaboratively with Data Governance, Underwriters, Exposure Management and the Delegated Authority team to enhance best practice, embed new procedures, monitor quality and resolve data related issues in a timely manner
- Serve as the primary contact with the Bordereaux Management System vendor, planning and managing system upgrades and enhancements
- Represent Operations at internal meetings and AEGIS at external market forums/committees in relation to delegated data and stay up to date with market and regulatory requirements ensuring AEGIS policies, procedures and working practices meet expectations
- Be responsible for driving automation/AI initiatives to streamline the ingestion of delegated data and reduce costs in line with AEGISâ strategic objectives
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- An advanced understanding of delegated data lifecycle
- Proven experience managing delegated data in the London Market Insurance industry
- Knowledge of Lloydâs Minimum Standards and market led delegated data and project initiatives
- Strong understanding of underwriting and claims processes in delegated arrangements.
- Familiarity with VIPR delegated data management tools would be advantageous
- High attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and general data manipulation.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft Visio would be advantageous
