Data Scientist  - Insurance (f/m/d)

 

The Role:

- Develop predictive models and analytical tools using advanced data science techniques.

- Conduct comprehensive reviews of Data Science capabilities to ensure best-in-class standards.

- Collaborate across WTW teams to create innovative solutions leveraging market insights.

- Represent WTW as a thought leader in Data Science consulting and technology.

- Lead substantial workstreams, manage client communications, and ensure project success.

- Foster trusted advisor relationships through effective communication and quality execution.

- Engage in diverse projects to broaden technical, management, and client-facing skills.

- Uphold WTW’s professional standards in analysis and client interactions.

- Contribute to the development and market deployment of new pricing propositions.

- Support intellectual capital development and strategic market initiatives.

 

Financial and Business Development:

- Achieve targets for billable hours and intellectual capital contributions.

- Support revenue generation through client proposals and value demonstration.

- Expand professional network and cultivate relationships to promote WTW offerings.

- Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and build internal partnerships.

 

Leadership and Mentoring:

- Lead and mentor junior associates to deliver high-quality client projects.

- Serve as a line manager and provide guidance to team members.

- Demonstrate confidence and professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues.

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Proven Data Science experience in general insurance (personal or commercial lines).

- Passion for advancing analytical techniques including machine learning and AI.

- Strong data manipulation skills and proficiency in Python, Git, and MLOps.

- Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical theory.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus.

- Familiarity with Radar software is advantageous.

- Demonstrated innovation and creativity in driving revenue enhancements.

- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and mentoring skills.

- Strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture and integrate cross-practice resources.
