Join our affiliate TotalEnergies EP ITALIA s.p.a  in Guardia Perticara (Potenza, Basilicata) !

You will join the Production Support Team within the Operations Department at TotalEnergies E&P Italy, based in Guardia Perticara (Potenza).
The team’s primary mission is to identify opportunities for developing digital solutions through advanced data exploration, prototyping, and, depending on the projects, the development of MVPs or transfer to the Total Digital Factory.
The sought-after candidate has a data scientist profile. The team covers a wide range of domains, including production optimization, carbon footprint reduction, safety, and environmental and industrial performance. Their activities span onshore operations, maintenance logistics, interventions on wells and installations, in one of the most complex onshore oil complexes in Europe for Exploration & Production Branch.

The stated goal is to develop and deploy ambitious solutions (prescriptive rather than descriptive) from data exploration to the development of apps and solutions in collaboration with users.

For the specific position in question, the initial focus will be on determing optimisations on chemicals management.

This domain is representing a real field challenge: chemicals are used for production optimization but also for integrity purposes and – at the same time- represents a big contributor for Operational costs.

Candidate Profile

Expected qualifications:

• Master degree with specialisation in Data Science
• Engineering background preferred

Technical skills:

• Engineer profile with strong data / digital culture and curiosity about our industry, and care of the users / clients
• Good data analysis skills

Computing skills:

• Strong knowledge of data science (Python): solid capacities to code and learn
• Knowledge of Git
• Experience with GenAI, 
• Knowledge of LLM is a plus

Languages:

• English: level B2/C1
• French: level B2
• Italian : appreciated
